The new temples are located in various countries including Mexico, El Salvador, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Chile, Ireland, Italy, Nigeria, Uganda, Mozambique, Idaho, Arizona, Texas, Alabama, Wisconsin, New Jersey, and Utah.
Some notable locations include the Kampala Uganda Temple, which will be the first temple in Uganda; the Maputo Mozambique Temple, which will be the second house of the Lord in Mozambique; and the Coeur dAlene Idaho Temple, which will be Idahos 10th temple.
As of October 1, 2024, six of the 13 temples announced in October 2021 are under construction. Additionally, two of the 18 temples announced in October 2022 are also under construction.
These new temple announcements signify the continued growth and expansion of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints globally. They provide sacred spaces for members to worship and perform ordinances.
The construction of these temples will positively impact local communities by creating jobs, stimulating economic growth, and providing a sense of community for the growing number of Latter-day Saints in these areas.
The next steps for these new temple projects include site preparation, groundbreaking ceremonies, and the eventual dedication of the temples once construction is complete.
