Actor Prayaga Martin Denies Involvement in Kochi Drug Case Involving Notorious Goon Omprakash

Actor Prayaga Martin has been at the center of a recent controversy following her alleged connection to notorious goon KK Omprakash in a drug bust in Kochi. Despite being named in the police remand report, Prayaga has vehemently denied any involvement with Omprakash or the drug case.

According to reports, Prayaga was summoned by the Kochi Police for questioning in connection with the drug case. She has been directed to report to the Maradu Police Station for interrogation, which may take place either at the station or at the Ernakulam ACP's office.

Prayaga Martin has clarified her position through an interview with Manorama Online, stating that she had visited the Nakshatra Hotel in Maradu to meet her friends. She left the hotel around 7 PM as she had to attend an inaugural function in Kozhikode the next day.

The actress emphasized that she does not know Omprakash personally and only heard about his name when a media person approached her for an interview. She also revealed that she had stayed in her friend's room for two hours before leaving, coincidentally during the time when the incident occurred.

In response to the allegations, Prayaga Martin posted an Instagram story that appeared to mock her critics and trolls. The post included the words 'ha..ha..hi..hu,' which many interpreted as a wry response to the situation.

The police investigation into the case has focused on three rooms in the Nakshatra Hotel, which were booked by Omprakash under another name. The authorities received information about a drug party being organized there and subsequently apprehended Omprakash and his associate Shihas from the hotel.

Despite the allegations, Prayaga Martin remains resolute about her innocence. She emphasized that she does not have to live her life according to people's opinions but will respond when false news about her is circulated.

The court granted bail to Omprakash and his associate after stating that police officials could not prove a commercial quantity of drugs from their possession. An investigation into the matter is still underway, with both Prayaga Martin and actor Sreenath Bhasi under scrutiny for their alleged connections to Omprakash.
