Bangladeshi Adult Actress Riya Barde Arrested in India for Using Fake Documents

Bangladeshi adult actress Riya Barde, also known as Arohi Barde and Banna Sheikh, has been arrested by the Hill Line Police in Ulhasnagar, Thane, for illegally living in India using fake documents. The arrest was made following a tip-off about a Bangladeshi family residing in the area with fraudulent identity papers.

According to the police, Riya Barde had been living in India with her family, including her mother, brother, and sister, all of whom were using fake documents to pose as Indian nationals. Her mother, Anjali Barde (also known as Ruby Sheikh), had allegedly married Arvind Barde from Amravati, Maharashtra, to facilitate their stay in India. The family had submitted fake birth certificates, school leaving certificates, and passports to support their false identities.

Background and Investigation

The investigation into Riya Barde's identity began after a friend, Prashant Mishra, complained to the police about her illegal stay. The probe revealed that her documents listed different places of birth, including West Bengal's North 24 Parganas, Hooghly, and Achalpur in Maharashtra's Amravati district. This discrepancy led to the uncovering of the family's fraudulent activities.

Riya Barde, who has worked in several adult films and was associated with Raj Kundra Productions, was previously arrested in Mumbai on charges related to prostitution under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. Her current arrest is under Section 14(A) of the Foreigners Act, 1946, and various sections of the Indian Penal Code related to cheating and forgery.

Ongoing Search and Legal Implications

The police are currently searching for Riya Barde's brother, Ravindra (alias Riyaz Sheikh), and her sister, Ritu (alias Moni Sheikh), who are also implicated in the case. Her parents, who are currently residing in Qatar, are also under scrutiny for their role in the forgery.

The arrest of Riya Barde and her family highlights the issue of illegal migration and the use of fake documents in India. This case has also led to increased vigilance in various parts of the country, particularly in light of recent reports of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.
