Gap and Cult Gaia Unveil 35-Piece Holiday Collection

Gap, the iconic American retailer, has collaborated with Los Angeles-based brand Cult Gaia to launch a 35-piece holiday collection for women and kids. The collection is set to be available starting Thursday, October 10, on Gap's e-commerce site and in select retail stores.

1. The Collaboration

This collaboration brings together Gap's timeless, relaxed American style with Cult Gaia's modern, sculptural influence. Cult Gaia, founded in 2012 by Jasmin Larian Hekmat, is known for its heirloom pieces designed to last a lifetime. The brand's creations are artistic yet practical for daily use, blending art and function in a unique and timeless way.

Mark Breitbard, President & CEO of Gap, highlighted the shared commitment to product detail between the two brands. 'This collection with Cult Gaia is a beautiful reimagining of Gap icons with a partner who shares our obsession to product detail,' he said. 'Every piece was created with intention, with a focus on fabrications, hardware, and stitching. We are delivering elevated designs and fresh fits that our customers can cherish forever.'

2. Key Pieces in the Collection

The Gap Cult Gaia collection features a range of holiday-ready styles, including sleek outerwear, mini slip dresses, and coordinating leather pants and jackets. Standout pieces include the Denim Bustier ($88), Backless Classic Shirt ($88), Vegan Fur Coat ($328), and more. For kids, there is an asymmetrical denim jacket, cargo pants, and 'Gaia' logoed sweatshirt.

Gap also lends its signature arch logo typeface to read 'Gaia,' which is emblazoned across a Baseball Cap ($35) and Cropped Logo Sweatshirt ($78). These pieces reflect a celebration of the two brands and add modern twists like chain-link detailing and gold hardware to classic designs made using luxurious fabrics.

3. The Campaign

The accompanying campaign, shot and directed by sisters Louise and Maria Thornfeldt, features model and actress Tina Kunakey alongside Kristina Byerley, Kelly Lim, Irene Law, and Christen Rhule. The campaign is a tribute to the beauty of womanhood and the modern goddess for which Cult Gaia is named.

Jasmin Larian Hekmat, founder and designer of Cult Gaia, expressed her excitement about the collaboration. 'Reimagining Gaps classic icons through Cult Gaias lens has been an amazing journey,' she said. 'The collaboration brought together Gaps classics and everyday wearability with Cult Gaias sculptural and artistic approach, merging our two distinct creative forces.'

4. Exclusive Shopping Opportunities

Gap Cardholders will have the opportunity to shop exclusively on Gaps mobile app prior to the online drop on October 9. Cardholders in the LA area will also be invited for an exclusive early shopping event at Gaps LA Grove store with Jasmin Larian Hekmat on October 10 from 911 a.m. PT.

This collaboration marks another significant partnership for Gap, following previous collaborations with brands like Den, Palace, Dapper Dan, and LoveShackFancy.
