The sequel, which will reportedly take three years to complete, will focus on Yaskin's character, played by Kamal Haasan, who is the antagonist in the movie. Prabhas has also hinted that the sequel will be divided into two parts, with some scenes already shot during the filming of the first part.

Warsi had referred to Prabhas' character as a 'joker,' which sparked some controversy.
