Netflix has unveiled the first look images for the highly anticipated sci-fi movie, The Electric State, directed by the acclaimed Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo. The film stars Millie Bobby Brown, known for her roles in Stranger Things and Enola Holmes , alongside Chris Pratt, who has recently been seen in The Gray Man .
Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Simon Stlenhag, The Electric State is set in a post-robot war Earth and follows the journey of Michelle, played by Millie Bobby Brown, a young woman who embarks on a cross-country road trip with a sweet but mysterious robot and an eccentric drifter. Their mission is to find Michelle's younger brother, navigating through an electrified, retro-futuristic United States.

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Ke Huy Quan, Stanley Tucci, Jason Alexander, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Giancarlo Esposito, Anthony Mackie, and Billy Bob Thornton. Production and Release
Principal photography for The Electric State began in October 2022 in Atlanta, with the working title Stormwind . The production was temporarily paused in November 2022 due to the death of a crew member in a car crash off-set. Filming officially wrapped in early February 2023, with reshoots taking place from March 20 to April 5, 2024.
The film is scheduled to be released on Netflix in March 2025, marking another significant collaboration between the Russo brothers and the streaming giant.
