Buffalo Bills quarterback Mitch Trubisky is nearing a return to full action after suffering a knee injury. Trubisky, who has been dealing with a mild to moderate MCL sprain since an August 17 preseason game against the Steelers, has been participating fully in practice.
Despite his full participation in practice, Trubisky's game status for the Week 3 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars had not been officially announced as of the latest updates. The injury, which typically requires a three-week recovery period, has seen Trubisky make significant progress, now five weeks post-injury.
The Buffalo Bills are set to face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, September 23, at 7:30 PM ET at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. The game will be broadcast on ESPN, with live streaming available through Fubo.
In addition to Trubisky, several other Bills players are listed on the injury report. These include defensive end Javon Solomon (oblique), defensive end Casey Toohill (knee), defensive end Dawuane Smoot (toe), tight end Quintin Morris (shoulder), running back Ty Johnson (knee), cornerback Taron Johnson (forearm), and linebacker Terrel Bernard (pectoral).
Taron Johnson has been out since Week 1 with a forearm injury, while Terrel Bernard is sidelined with a pectoral injury. Dawuane Smoot and Javon Solomon have been cleared to play after missing the first two games due to their respective injuries.
In the 2023 season, Trubisky threw for 632 yards, completing 62.6% of his passes (67-for-107) with four touchdowns and five interceptions. He also contributed on the ground with 54 yards on 16 attempts, scoring two touchdowns.
