Nestle India has announced that its Chairman and Managing Director, Suresh Narayanan, will retire from his position on July 31, 2025. This marks the end of an illustrious career spanning over 26 years with the Nestle Group. Narayanan is credited with turning around the company's flagship instant noodles brand Maggi after a food safety ban and has been instrumental in putting Nestle India on a strong growth path.

Narayanan's tenure has been marked by significant achievements, including the successful launch of new products and the introduction of the pet care business in India. Most recently, Nestle entered into a joint venture with Dr Reddys Laboratories to scale up its nutritional health solutions business in India.

Manish Tiwary Appointed as New MD

Manish Tiwary, a senior executive from Amazon, has been nominated to take over as the Managing Director of Nestle India effective August 1, 2025. Tiwary brings nearly three decades of experience in leading large-scale operations and strategic initiatives within the e-commerce and consumer goods sectors.

Tiwary joined Amazon in 2016 after a 20-year career at Unilever, where he held roles in sales, marketing, and general management across various categories and channels in India, the Gulf, and North Africa. He is currently a director at Amazon Digital Services Private Limited and More Consumer Brands Private Limited but will step down from this position on October 30, 2024.

Tiwary's appointment is subject to necessary approvals from Nestle SA. His extensive experience in e-commerce and consumer goods makes him a strong candidate to lead Nestle India into its next phase of growth.

Suresh Narayanan has been a stalwart in the FMCG industry, known for his leadership skills and strategic vision. His tenure at Nestle India has seen significant milestones, including the turnaround of Maggi and the expansion of Nestle's product portfolio.
