NFC West Standings and Updates After Week 4

NFC West Standings and Updates After Week 4

The NFC West has seen significant developments as the NFL season progresses into Week 4. The division, which was expected to be dominated by the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams, has instead seen the Seattle Seahawks take a strong lead.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks remain undefeated with a 3-0 record, having made light work of the Miami Dolphins in Week 3 with a 24-3 victory. They face a tough challenge in their upcoming Monday night game against the Detroit Lions. Despite playing without running back Ken Walker, the Seahawks have maintained their top spot in the division.

San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have snapped their two-game losing streak with a convincing 30-13 win over the New England Patriots in Week 4. Key performances included a touchdown catch by George Kittle, a touchdown run by Jordan Mason, and a pick-six by Fred Warner. Despite this win, the 49ers are still dealing with significant injuries, including defensive tackle Javon Hargrave being out for the season and quarterback Brock Purdy nursing a back injury.

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams, who have also been plagued by injuries, including the absence of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, managed to rally from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the 49ers 27-24 in Week 3. They will face the Chicago Bears on the road in Week 4. Kyren Williams' pair of touchdowns and Tutu Atwell's 93 receiving yards were highlights in their recent victory.

Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals, after a strong performance against the Rams in Week 2, lost 20-13 to the Detroit Lions in Week 3. Despite shutting out the Lions in the second half, they were unable to overcome the early deficit. The Cardinals will host the Washington Commanders in Week 4.

As the NFC West continues to unfold, the Seahawks' strong start has them at least two games ahead of the rest of the division, depending on the outcome of their Week 4 game against the Lions. The 49ers' win has brought them back into contention, but the Rams and Cardinals are facing increasing pressure to keep up.
