He undertook a three-hour foot march up the hill as part of an 11-day penance known as 'Prayashchit Diksha.' This penance is aimed at addressing various issues related to temple management and the preservation of Sanatana Dharma, particularly in the context of the ongoing controversy over the alleged adulteration of Tirupati's famous 'laddus' with animal fat.
Kalyan has been vocal about protecting traditional practices and has initiated this penance to appease Lord Venkateswara. His family's participation in the pilgrimage has added a personal touch, resonating with many followers who admire his commitment to both his faith and public service.
