The government is set to release the 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on October 5, 2024. This initiative, aimed at providing income support to small and marginal farmers across India, will see 2,000 being transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmers.
Eligibility and Benefits
Under the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers with up to 2 hectares of land are eligible to receive an annual assistance of 6,000, which is divided into three equal installments of 2,000 each, disbursed every four months. This financial support is part of the central government's efforts to bolster the income of small and marginal farmers.
How to Check Your Name in the Beneficiary List
To check if your name is included in the beneficiary list, you can follow these steps: Visit the official PM-KISAN website pmkisan.gov.in. Navigate to the 'Beneficiary List' tab, select your state, district, sub-district, block, and village, and then click on 'Get Report'. This will display the beneficiary list, where you can check for your name.
Completing e-KYC: A Mandatory Requirement
To continue receiving benefits under the PM-KISAN scheme, completing the e-KYC process is mandatory for all registered farmers. There are three ways to complete e-KYC: OTP-based e-KYC available on the PM-KISAN portal and mobile app, biometric e-KYC available at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendras (SSKs), and face authentication-based e-KYC available on the PM KISAN Mobile App.
For OTP-based e-KYC, visit the official website, click on the 'eKYC' option under the 'Farmer Corner' section, fill in your 12-digit Aadhaar number, and enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile number. For biometric e-KYC, visit a nearby CSC and provide your Aadhaar number for biometric authentication.
Additional Requirements
Ensure that your bank account is linked with your Aadhaar card and that the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) option is active in your Aadhaar-seeded bank account. You can check the status of your Aadhaar seeding under the 'Know Your Status' module on the PM KISAN portal.
Checking Instalment Status
To check the status of your PM-KISAN instalment, visit the PM-KISAN website, go to the 'Farmer Corner' section, click on the 'Beneficiary Status' option, enter your registered Aadhaar number or bank account number, and click on the 'Get Data' button. The status of your instalment will be displayed on the screen.
