RRB Technician Recruitment 2024: Registration Window Reopens for 14,298 Vacancies

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are set to reopen the online application window for the Technician Recruitment 2024, starting from October 2, 2024. This decision has been made in light of an increase in the number of vacancies, which has now been enhanced to 14,298 posts across 40 categories.

Key Dates and Application Process

The registration window will be open until October 16, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official website, rrbapply.gov.in.

Existing candidates who have already submitted their application forms and paid the necessary fees will not need to pay any additional fee during this window. They will, however, have the opportunity to modify their educational qualifications, re-upload their photographs and signatures, and change their RRB and post preferences.

New candidates, including those who did not submit their applications previously, those who applied but did not pay the fee, and those who applied for Category 1 (Technician Grade 1) but not for Technician Grade 3, can apply for Technician posts under all categories from 2 to 40.

Application Fees

The application fee for General category candidates is Rs 500, while SC, ST, Female, Transgender, and EWS candidates will need to pay Rs 250. After appearing in the Stage I exam, candidates will be eligible for a fee refund: Rs 400 for UR/OBC/EWS candidates and Rs 250 for SC/ST/PH/Female candidates.

Edit Window and Additional Guidelines

From October 17 to October 21, candidates will have the opportunity to edit their application forms for a fee of Rs 250 per modification. Existing candidates will have restricted access to certain areas such as photo, signature, zone and post preferences, and educational background during this edit window.

Candidates are advised to be cautious of touts who may mislead them with false promises of securing job selection through illegal means. The recruitment process is fully computerized, and selection is solely based on candidates' merit.
