Auction Details
Each of the six franchises participating in the SA20 league has a budget of R39.1 million (approximately $2,263,210 USD) to assemble their teams. Each team must fill 19 player slots, which include 1 Wildcard player and 1 Rookie player. The teams are required to have a minimum of 10 South African players and a maximum of 7 international players.
A Rookie is defined as a South African player who is 22 years old or younger and has not previously been signed in the SA20 league. A Wildcard can be either a local or an international player, and their cost does not count against the team's budget. The cut-off date for selecting a Wildcard is December 30, 2024.
