The highlight of the event is undoubtedly the air show, which will take place from October 11 to 13, 2024. Headlined by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, this year's air show will feature a variety of performances, including the Blue Angels Fat Albert, Leap Frogs, and the United 777 commercial airliner performing a fully choreographed act. Additionally, the U.S. Air Force F-22 Demo Team, Air Force Heritage Flight, U.S. Marines F-35B Demo, U.S.C.G. Demo, Patriots Jet Team (Saturday and Sunday only), Greg Colyer Ace Maker T-33 (Two Ship), and Randy Howell and Corey Lovell Demo will also be part of the show.
2. Parade of Ships
On Friday, October 11, 2024, the Parade of Ships will take place along the San Francisco waterfront. This event is one of the largest on the West Coast and will feature a procession of ships sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge. The San Francisco Fire Department will lead the parade with their fire boat shooting jets of water into the air to celebrate the Fleets arrival.
3. Ship Tours
From October 9 to 14, 2024, visitors can participate in ship tours at various piers along the Embarcadero. These tours offer a glimpse into the day-to-day lives of sailors serving in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard. The USS Somerset (LPD 25) will be one of the ships available for tours on Thursday, October 10.
4. Neighborhood Concert Series
San Francisco Fleet Week also includes a Neighborhood Concert Series, which will feature performances by Navy and Marine Corps bands throughout the city.
